Today, I’m going to give you an idea of what tools, technologies and languages we use to create our websites and why we use them.  At the moment, there are a lot of stories of designers going to a briefing with a client and being told “We want an HTML5 website”, or “We want Flash here, and then some … here”, without the client really understanding what these technologies do and whether they’re the best tool for the job.

The designer should always decide what tools a particular job needs.
